The place was great. We had a wonderful time. Only complaint is that the water tasted really bad. A filter pitcher was provided, but it really didn't help.. We went and bought water to drink and cook with while we were there.

This was our first time staying with Carolina Retreats at Topsail Island. The home was the perfect location, located one row back from the beach, but across an opening with the perfect beach view, and ramped beach access. The home itself has a spacious fridge, large and easy functioning washer & dryer, dishwasher, glass top stove, and microwave. The kitchen table was huge, and the dining room had plenty of room for my family of seven. The living room was cozy, with large windows for a constant view, and enough seating for everyone. The bedrooms were all large, had patio access, and closet room as well as dressers. There are two full bathrooms located on the first floor, per the three bedrooms, and the top floor has the master bedroom with a full bathroom as well. The home was well stocked with cookware, utensils, and basic needs (toilet paper, paper towel, hand soap, dish soap, linens etc.) The only minor inconvenience was that the outdoor shower had no privacy. It would have been cool to have the ground level opened up to park under, and/or add more seating such as hammocks, swings, etc. as well as on the other balconies. Other than those two suggestions we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Callalily, and hope to secure this home for future vacations.

The owners have gone out of their way to have everything you need for a no hassle beach house. All the beach gear was included and the kitchen was fully stocked including herbs, nice knives, crock pot, and big pots for crab boil. The beach access is literally across the street. There is a section without houses which allowed for perfect ocean views from the front deck. We had a chance to meet the owners. They are truly genuine people who want you to enjoy your stay.
