A nice house with roominess in the bedrooms and other rooms. The house was in good shape. We really liked having big porch areas. And the fenced-in area was great for our dogs. Getting on and off the island or around the island was very tough most times. Next summer, we will probably look for a house where we grill and move around town or close by more easily. Although, we do like the neighborhood and being near the end of the island when not out and about.

This house has everything you will need except beach equipment of any kind. Bring that. And bring garbage bags. It’s quiet and beautiful and the beach is amazingly clean.

This is a great property! It lives like a home more than a rental and the updates in the kitchen make it so nice! The carport and underneath the house is wonderful. Outside shower is clean and well accessible. The beach access is a bit of a hike even though it’s across the street (not anyone’s fault, it’s just a LONG access) but the view to ocean is wonderful from top deck! One suggestion I would make is curtains in the master bedroom (over the blinds) and a King bed would be WONDERFUL LUXURY! Mattresses are new and amazingly comfortable! Need new pillows on all beds but other than that, perfect!

We loved The Water Bear! Beautifully clean home with comfortable beds and a well-stocked kitchen. The updates to the kitchen are great and the adjacent laundry room/pantry was so helpful! The entire house lives well, and we had two grandchildren with us, ages 10 mo and 4. Upper deck views of the ocean are beautiful and the short walk over the access was so manageable with kids. Great addition to south Topsail rentals!
