This house is perfect for large families. It is very family friendly.

Surfside Cottage is a perfect home for a large family or families traveling together. So much space for everyone. The dining area was large enough for the entire group to eat meals together. Three floors gave everyone an opportunity to spread out and the biggest hit was the game room - there was always someone playing pool! The kitchen was well stocked and the three refrigerators made it convenient to store extra ice, drinks, waters. And the deck - so nice for the kids to play on and just sit and relax with a beautiful view, after a day on the beach. The beds being made upon arrival was certainly a wonderful added touch so we could unpack and get on with our vacation. Everything is well thought of by the owners. We had a wonderful experience.

The deck and the beach are terrific and the highlights of the property. Plentiful space and bathrooms! We met the owner/neighbors last year and they are so nice! We also like the old cottage vibe compared to new mega-houses we have rented on the north end. Our extended family has been coming to Topsail for 31 straight years. We stayed at TB our first year and had to go north given the large number of people. But as our party size has declined because of kids in school and others graduating, we have been delighted to return south! TB really has a community feel to it, as we have found in talking with neighbors and people we've met on the beach. Definitely the best beach on the island! Also, the house withstood Tropical Storm Idalia well. Feels very sturdy and protected from the elements. We have weathered a hurricane and tropical storms over the years and some houses have felt like they were swaying with the wind and rain. Not Surfside Cottage! Also essential that the property is dog friendly!
