While the rental company can not help who rents besides you, renting this property means taking a chance on who neighbors besides you for a week due to no sound proofing of the house. The neighbors slept all day then screamed all night. Not just were noisy but to the point my children would wake up at all times of the night thinking our “home” was being broke into or in grave concern of the health of the neighbors due to whatever is happening next door happens to in this home too. They ran the stairs of the deck, slammed the doors, shouted at each other to the point we thought people were being hurt. My husband is a police officer and handles this daily….we were there to relax. It wasn’t relaxing in the evenings and nights at all. We were woken up countless times due to what seemed like distress. We could hear them while in the shower even. We have stayed with Carolina Retreat before in a duplex with zero issues, along with two other rental companies. We have never had these issues. The only thing we could figure out (other than these were very rude neighbors) is that the three homes side by side were so connected that it was coming from vents/shared spaces/and no insulation. It 100% will stop me from renting here again. At least in a hotel/apartment/condo you understand that is a potiential. Add the other quality/cleaning issues I will take a hard pass for the amount of money we spent for the week.
